Developmental Editing
We offer three packages, each guaranteed to benefit from our unique editing approach based on change management methodologies.
That means we’ll be providing specialist advice on realistic characters, plot-hole resolution, reader expectations, and more!
Line Editing
As well as the usual line editing checks, we’ll be applying our editorial approach here too. This means that if we spot anything that could detract from realistic characters, or spot any risks or unaddressed impacts, these will be flagged in the line editing report.
Proofreading
The classic! Our standard proofreading service is all about catching any typos and formatting errors before publication. Again, with the added benefit of our editing approach
Specialist Services
Magic Systems Analysis
A service dedicated entirely to the manuscript’s magic system. Based on our founder’s academic research, we ensure that all key elements are in place and that the system works well with worldbuilding, characters and plot.
We offer a high-level assessment, or you can have an in-depth, detailed report as part of a developmental edit.
Editorial Impact Assessment
This is all about mapping out impacts of changes from the developmental edit, ensuring we capture as much as possible after that first round of editing so that the author can confidently make amends that won’t led to knots being unpicked further along the process.
This service can be applied to an already edited manuscript, or as part of a developmental edit through us here at IEC.
