Giving your fantasy manuscript its best shot for acquisition

“I loved their submission but the full manuscript didn’t keep me engaged.”

“The start is great, but the ending fell flat and the middle needs more work.”

“The fantastical elements have logic flaws and the magic doesn’t make sense.”

“The opening chapters had me hooked, but the rest hadn’t been edited enough.”

“This manuscript has potential but it’s not ready to take to publishers.”

“All I can do is suggest the author finds an editor… maybe they’ll come back.”

Does this sound familiar?

You don’t need me to tell you how hard publishing a book is. After all, you’re the experts in author care, manuscript preparation, and finding the perfect editor for your client!

Well, my goal is to help you and your clients prepare their manuscript so that, by the time it goes to acquisition, it’s so strong that it is seen as a low-risk investment by publishers.

    Magic System Analysis

Using my research degree where I investigated magic systems in fantasy fiction, and off the back of it designed a foundational template for strong, logical and entertaining magic systems, I can provide a high-level analysis of a manuscript’s magic system.
