Helping you to achieve your publishing goals

“Fantasy fiction is so complex and this manuscript has lots of loose threads.”

“I love the concept but it’s going to take a lot of work to make it publishable.”

“This manuscript could benefit from expert advice. Someone who knows the genre and understands the ins and outs of magic systems.”

“The worldbuilding is vast and could do with consistency and logic checks.”

“Argh! I just wish I had more time to work on this and help shape it!”

“I think having an editor who can work with the author on their craft as well as the manuscript would be just what we need.”

“I wish these characters were more believable. Their reactions aren’t realistic.”

Does this sound familiar?

You already know this, but editing is a long process! There’s the seemingly endless revisions, the author care, marketing prep, readability, cover design… and that’s just for one client! When you’re an editor, I know how busy you are, but I also know how passionate you are about getting the right product out there at the highest of quality.

You want your fantasy fiction to sell well, to inspire and entertain readers, and for the author’s true talent to shine. So, how exactly can I help you in ways others can’t?

What if you could understand the impacts of editorial changes early on? I mean, really, really understand just how many elements they affect, which order they should be tackled in, the cost of time/energy/resources it might take to address the ripple effects of each one? What if you could have a roadmap that illustrates that? Well, maybe my unique impact assessment is just what you need. Perhaps my developmental service?

I truly believe in the magic of fantasy, and I also truly believe that logic and consistency are incredibly important. That’s why I’ve designed an editing approach that not only caters for the novel currently sitting on your desk, but can also help prepare and protect any novels that follow it in a series. If you want a fantasy manuscript to come into its true power, my experience, as well as my bespoke templates and unique editing approach, can give it the boost it needs.
